Hi, I’m Andrew.
I made this blog because I get weirdly attached to pubs, places, and a lot of other things and wanted to remember them – not just for me, but so I can tell people about them too.
The Yellow Book is a guide to places I’m mildly obsessed with.
It’s part journal, part coping mechanism, part plan-for-you-so-you-don’t-have-to energy. Curated, slightly chaotic, and full of unsolicited opinions.
I rate pubs like it’s my job (it isn’t), I build plans with far too much care, and I romanticise walks to places I have no business caring this much about.
Expect:
- Reviews with feelings
- Lists with too much thought
- Side notes that didn’t need posting
- Chaos from Crumble (our Golden Retriever puppy)
I don’t take freebies, I don’t share things I don’t like (because the world already has enough negativity), but I will absolutely judge a pub by its carpet.
Thanks for being here… especially if you’ve read this far. That’s real dedication.
