The Tasting Room at the Blue Tea House
What happens when you combine a beautiful historic tea house, Amsterdam’s biggest park and a micro-brewery? Magic – that’s what. The Proeflokaal’t Blauwe Theehuis (or The Tasting Room at the Blue Tea House) is a cafe/bar owned by the Amsterdam based Brouwerwij’tij brewery.
They offer a fully stocked range of their own beers, with styles including blondes, browns, amber ales and IPAs among others. If you don’t like beer, your options will be limited, but they do serve soft and hot drinks too.
The building itself is gorgeous, set deep within the beautiful surroundings of Vondelpark, and has a blue and white exterior. It’s primarily an outdoor venue, with a wide circular garden and an upstairs terrace too.
Beyond the great beer, they also offer games of boules – a nice activity to partake in after a day of exploring the city of Amsterdam.
